I'm a designer through and through. I always had a passion for color and design. I changed the decor in my bedroom growing up so many times. At one point I had dark teal walls with all black furniture—very dramatic. My love for interior spatial planning led to studies in interior design. To adhere to my undergrad program, I took several fine art courses which is where I discovered graphic design. I changed my major in my senior year from interior design to graphic design, and although I didn't start my industry experience in graphic design, I did need those skills in everything I did after college.
The majority of my corporate career has been in the fashion industry where I gained experience in design, product development, management, color, trend and concept. My last corporate role in this industry was a Conceptual Color Manager for Chico's FAS Inc. I worked under the Trend department researching color trends and creating all the colors/color palettes for multiple seasons. I have a strong, sophisticated eye for color and design.
Much of my graphic design experience has been through independent freelance work. I have done projects for creative and marketing companies, large corporations as well as worked directly with small business owners. My work has primarily been print design, but has been expanding into digital communication. I have a natural eye for composition and layout. My favorite projects are branding and re-branding where I can work on multiple visual facets that communicate a brand's identity.
